The Brewing Process

Definitions:

Ale - Beer fermented at room temp 65-75ºf.
All Bray's Beers are ales!
Lager - Beer fermented at cold temp 48-58ºf.
On Tap - Beer served on draft opposed to in a bottle.
Carbonation - Carbon dioxide(CO2) that is held in solution that give beer its fizz.
On Nitro - Nitrogen at high pressure added at approx a 75% mix displaces CO2 to give beer a creamier and less bubbly finish. Think Guiness™ gas.
Bourbon barrel aged - A beer that has been aged for several weeks or months in an oak barrel that previously contained whiskey.
Cask - Beer that is allowed to naturally carbonate in the keg. Seved either directly fom the keg or via a hand pump (Beer Engine). These beers are usually served at cellar temp (52ºf) and can be cloudy and lack the carbonation of our regular tap beers.
